Since the initiation of science parks and technology business incubators in the Islamic Republic of Iran, science parks and technology incubators have played an important role in Iranian National Development Plans. Isfahan Science & Technology Town (ISTT) is the pioneering science town and one of the most successful in the country.

ISTT is pleased to host 35th IASP world conference on Science Parks and Areas of Innovation for the first time in Iran from 2-5 September 2018. ISTT land is adjacent to Isfahan University of Technology. Through its many years of successful experience, has become a pioneering model for the management of technology incubators and science parks across the country. ISTT is an environment in which research centers, manufacturing and service companies, and R&D centers of governmental organizations have conglomerated into a vast town.

Pre-Conference Program

The IASP Seminar on the fundamentals of Science and Technology Parks (STPs) and Areas of Innovation (AOIs) will take place in Isfahan, Iran, on 2nd September, the day before our 35th World Conference in September 2018. Please note this is an optional activity with a separate registration fee.

The IASP Pre-conference Seminar is organised directly by the IASP Headquarters and is designed to meet the needs of professionals who are appointed to set up a new science park, as well as for those who are new to our industry. The seminar will look at the crucial main concepts in the inception, conceptualisation, planning and management of science parks and other areas of innovation: strategic models, incubation, marketing and communication, services, governance, challenges and opportunities.

Experienced STP/AOI managers and experts from the IASP network will share their knowledge with you, discuss what worked and what didn’t, and answer your questions. Their vast experience will allow you to shorten your learning curve and will give you new insights to help you in your everyday work.

The IASP Pre-conference Seminar is the perfect chance to meet international colleagues facing the same problems and challenges, and for networking in a smaller forum prior to our big event.
